Flat Brutus Speaks

Hey everyone!  Remember me??  Don't let my cool shades fool you - It's Flat Brutus!

It's been SOOO long since Michelle did an update on my travels.  Guess I can understand why, between her traveling with the real Brutus (gotta love that guy) and now she's busy the new addition Carmen!  It didn't look like she was going to post today, so I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to give you an update on my travels.  And let me tell you, it's been quite the adventure!  Look I even have my own passports and a GPS now to help assist on my journey (thanks Peter & Ken!).

Before I get started, I want to apologize on Michelle's behalf for being do far behind - so many hosts out there have been so wonderful, and we don't want them to think for one second we don't appreciate all that they do.  I've gotten to do amazing things, meet terrific people (and of course animals!), and experience more than I ever thought possible.  Even with this long & photo-heavy post, I fear we cannot do justice to all you fabulous hosts out there that make my travels possible.  To our blogger pals, I'm including links to your posts so that my fans can see all the great things you did with me.  For our non-blogger pals, I spoke to Michelle and she PROMISES to get the rest of the photos up on my Facebook page so no one gets left out and my die-hard fans can see everything I've done! After all, we couldn't do it without you all!!

I hardly know where to begin.  SO many amazing cities out there, and I've been to some of the busiest!

New York City (thanks Ann Marie and Rebecca, I had a BLAST!!!),

Chicago (with our good friend Courtney),

and even got to travel to Tokyo (quite an airplane ride from California!) along with Gina

When this all started, I thought the only way I'd be traveling was in my envelope - oh contraire!!   All these other ways are much more fun (OK, Moose, you can let go now...)!

Here I am with Booger Blue off-roading in California.

I do spend a good deal of time riding in ladies' purses.  Man, you should see all the stuff in those!!

I got to ride along with Dr. Liz (Fiona & Abby's mom from Another Tequila Sunrise) during a motocross.  What a crazy driver she is!!

The NYC taxi's drive pretty much the same way....

Then there's public transportation - got to experience the Tokyo metro,

and of course the New York subway!

Recently I even found myself on horseback with this lovely lady!

With all the adventures I have, a guy needs to find ways to unwind.  Thank goodness my hosts always make sure I have some time to relax and recharge!

Napping with my buddy Moley (his mom has a blog, and he gets to make lots of guest appearances on it)

Look I even have my very own sleep mask to help me get my beauty rest (thanks to Hootie's mom).

Even for a busy guy like myself, exercise is also very important.  Here I am hiking with Mayzie and Ranger.

They also gave me a chance to show I can be as agile as the real Brutus - look at how high I can jump!  I cleared that mountain with room to spare!

You can't always get outside when traveling, so it's a good thing for hotel treadmills!!

One also has to look out for their spiritual well-being to stay balanced and healthy.  Here I am paying my respects to the Kamakura buddha while in Japan with Gina.

Here I am again with Moley, just meditating on the beautiful scenery by this lovely pond.

When things really get stressful, one has to take certain measures to help get their energy re-balanced!  Yikes!  I was a little unsure, but I got to tell you, it was just the ticket to relax - thanks for taking me for acupuncture, Rebecca!

And Courtney took me swimming in Chicago.  Good thing I can float, that water felt sooooo good!

And then Moley let me try out his wading pool when it got hot during my visit with him in Illinois

Along the way I've developed quite the taste for the finer things in life (whether you can eat them or not).  When you work hard (raising all this money for FBRN, we are up to almost $500 now) you gotta play hard!

A world traveler like myself has to have a good timepiece, you know!!

Appreciating some art and antiques in Chicago (thanks again for letting me tag along Courtney!  Your friends there really were a blast!)

Trying on some serious bling at an art show - this estate piece is priceless (those diamonds have more zeros attached to them then I have paws to count), but I think it is just perfect for me! Come on Aunt Courtney - how about a little splurge for your Flat buddy?

Enjoying some sushi and a Sapporo in Japan, with Gina.

I even have my own bottle of wine, just my size (that's Courtney's pals Peter and Ken again, thanks guys!).

Must admit, I have a bit of a sweet tooth too...  Don't tell Michelle, but I forgot to pack my toothbrush, oh no!!

Paws on the table!  Where are my manners?? How embarassing!

Stop that truck!!

I love my ice cream!  I stopped at this place while visiting with Baby Rocket dog & Hootie in Idaho.

Of course I'm always willing to accept a dog treat as well.  I now even have my own "Flat Milkbones" thanks to Kaye from Chicago (another of Courtney's fun pals)!

Now I don't want you all to think I'm too high maintenance!  I really am an easy keeper, and even been know to lend a hand (paw) sometimes!

I helped Mayzie clean out her basement

Here I am helping my pal Booger supervise an insulation project at his house.

I helped Barbara teach some classes while I visited with her pups Nimah & Amborose.

I've learned a thing or two from the real Brutus, so I helped the pups there get then hang of some basic obedience.

Just like any good adventurer, there have been some times that I've found myself in awkward positions....

Really officer, Dr. Liz was the one driving, not me!

Good gracious!  Thankfully this is just a garden sculpture in England, not a real lion.  Hey Emma, will you help me down from here??

Yeah, this wasn't one of my finer moments (but it makes everyone laugh).  Good thing I have regenerative powers, since Ambrose got a little too overzealous while we were playing!!

But this isn't what it seems.  Honest, I wasn't in trouble - just helping with some crowd control during the LA Lakers' victory parade while visiting Kristin in California!

In addition to all the fabulous pups and people I've gotten to meet, my travels have brought some interesting new kinds of friends:

Here I am bravely visiting with Mayzie's kitteys...

I even met a parrot name Spike!

And this nice bear kept me company while traveling with Courtney (although he hogged the remote).

Phew!!  Just talking about all that made me tired!  Thanks for bearing with me, I know that was A LOT of photos!  In case you didn't see them embedded above, here are some links to the blogs where you can find the full story of my adventures with some of our furiends.

Remeber to visit the Flat Brutus Facebook page to see more of his adventures from our friends without blogs.  Special thanks to the following hosts who contributed images to this post:

Courtney (our good friend, Michelle's look-alike, and Flat-Brutus promoter extraordinare)
Kristin & the Moon Pieds (and parrots)
Gina (thanks for the airplane ride & the sushi!)
Emma (from England)
Booger Blue (weave little Frenchie!!)
Ann Marie (hope you get your real Frenchie soon!)
Rebecca (you spoiled me, really)

Ta-ta for now!  Hope you enjoyed the update - congratulations on making it to the end of it!!  Lots more people to see and places to visit.  Requests are still coming in, so it's not to late to join the tour.  I'm having a blast, and so glad I can help French Bulldog Rescue Network through my globetrotting!  Look for me in your corner of the globe soon!

Wow! So many cool places and people! (Although I know we got a picture of you with handcuffs, too, and there was most definitely a cop involved there, so I'm thinking there might be more to your story than you are letting on! Heehee!)

Happy travels, flat guy!

I can see why it has taken awhile to post about your world-wide trips, Flat Brutus! You probably had to catch up on your sleep and try to get used to your current time zone! I'm with Frankie...I got kinda dizzy just reading this bloggie post and I had to get some shut-eye before writing back! You are sooo lucky to have such great friends to tour the world with!

FB! I saw what happened to you at the moose estate. I suggest you stay away from black dogs from now on. I mean wasn't it a black dog that ripped your bottom off?
