Yesterday I was browsing around on "Club Chein" ( a fun Frenchie site) I found a link to a paper project for a French bulldog. The person who posted it said she did hers in about an hour. Looked like fun, so I printed out the templates, along with their Japanese instructions. After FOUR HOURS of cutting, folding & gluing, this is what I came up with. Pretty cute, huh?
Naturally, Brutus did not find my expenditure of time on this project to be amusing. I didn't do it all at once, but any work was accompanied by little cries & snorts aimed at re-focusing my attention on the REAL Frenchie in the room. When I finally finished it, Brutus got to meet his new little friend. Initially he was inquisitive, but when he found out it wasn't a toy for him, he was disgusted. During his final moments with his paper likeness Brutus resorted with his default maneuver: he tried to eat it. I snatched it away just in time, and now have my handiwork proudly displayed out of Brutus' reach :)

Time to go wash the Elmer's glue off my hands before I start sticking to the keyboard!
