Brutus vs. the Dyson, Part Duex

It's been a few weeks since I posted a video.  I've recently received inquiries about when the next installment of Brutus vs. the Dyson would post.  Sooooo..... in the spirit of keeping things interesting and my followers content, today I present the video version of Brutus trying to defeat my vacuum once and for all!

I apologize for the less than fantastic quality of the video - it's a bit dark and grainy.  I must admit, though - I'm pretty impressed with myself that I managed to vacuum & video at the same time, whilst fending off Brutus!  Notice that he starts barking before I even turn on the power.  He goes flying off the couch at one point.  In the end, take note of how hard Brutus is panting, his glorious tongue unfurled.  Like I said in Part 1 - vacuuming exercises three things simultaneously - the carpet, my arm & Brutus!

I can think of many words to describe Brutus in this video: petulant, persistent, yappy, obnoxious...  The clip is just two minutes long, probably more than enough to give you the idea. So grab your popcorn, and maybe some earplugs too, and press play - if you dare!

Well, did you make it through the whole thing?  Imagine 45 minutes of that, just to vacuum the downstairs...  And if I'm not holding a video camera, I've got a squirt gun to help defend my poor household appliance from Frenchie Fury!  No wonder I always have dustbunnies....  If anyone needs "help" cleaning, I can always send Brutus over!

(Jazzi hears your vacuum going and is growling in her bed, here she is)

Ok, Brutus, I am right here with ya, barking at the same time at your vacuum. I hate the darn vacuum cleaner too. Maybe together we can take out that vacuum, (barking)LOL

I start barking as soon as I see our vacuum and I am biting the corner and someday I will stop that BIG ole machine and teach it never to run here again.

And I also hate this brushy thing on a long stick that my mom uses to get stuff in the corners and under our heat things, I always try and bite it as much as I can. usually my mom sends me outside and thinks that I cant hear it but I can still and just bark from outside.

Down with vacuums!!

Wow Brutus buddy we must say that we are impressed. You are going to wear yourself out! Lately we have been calm around our vacuum machine Mom doesn't know what's wrong with us, but now that we got some good lessons from you we are going to surprise her when she vacuums tomorrow.

Lots of Licks--

Brutus, How cruel these humans can be when they get ahold of the alien carpet beast. I think it takes over their minds and they become obsessed with the beast. If you want I can try to come over in my magic bubble next time so we can fend it off together, strength in numbers and all that. Then to make matters worse, she also has a squirt gun, my Mom has one of those in every room. I do love my family, but when the aliens take over them it is time to fight back.

licks and sniffs, Sasha
p.s. I am yours in the Dyson wars.

My idiot brother tries to do the same thing, but momma gets really mad and says HBO words with her scary voice and he backs off.

Me? I prefer to just park my large and handsome self right wherever she wants to run the machine and then get super grouchy when she tries to make me move.

Mango

We hate that %**^%&$# Dyson vacuum!!

Lucia's Mom keeps her vacuum in front of any door that she doesn't want Lucia going through.

We don't attack it when it's not plugged in, but Lilly will even attack the cord as Mom is trying to wind it up! And of course Piper has to go by and squirt it once in a while.

XOXO

What a valiant warrior you are brutus. That evil machine is probably 3 times your size, yet you fight till the end. Brutus 1 - Dyson 0

All that panting at the end of the video!!! Barking at and attacking the Dyson is hard work! It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it, right Brutus? :)

I'm passive aggressive with the carpet sucky thing myself. I just sit wherever the thing is going to be and Don't Move. That way it has to yield to ME! HAH!!!!

*ahem.

Goodness Gracious Brutus...Mom says that would drive her nuts! :)

My Brutus used to bark at the vacuum like that until mom saw an episode of "Dog Whisperer" and this was addressed. Cesar said to correct this behavior - shoosh the dog when the barking at the vacuum starts - leave the vacuum running when you do this.

Needless to say, mom did this with Brutus and it took a little bit, but he no longer barks at the vacuum.

Wow, he looks like he's dancing with it!

Is he afraid of it, or does he just want to see it die?

Do you bark at mops and brooms too? I do..and the feather duster..anything mom cleans with...ohh it gets me barking mad!

We should start a club ...BOL!

Thanks for stopping by..was nice to see you.

We know just how you feel, Brutus! We all HATE the noisy sucking machine around here, too. Mom's needed to use it this week and has been putting it off because we all go nuts. Sometimes, she locks us in a different room or outside, but sometimes she thinks our war with it is funny.

You go Brutus! You tell that old Dyson who is boss! I have to put the smackdown on our vacuum cleaner sometimes too...that is until Mom makes me sit and tells me no. Then I have to play nice. But I still sneak in a smackdown every one in a while!
