Well, it was another busy weekend. Lots going on, too much to get in one post!
After all the hype, our Buckeye boys stood to to USC pretty stoically. Our defense held them to almost nothing in the first half (the only points from an interception & field goals), and it started to look like we were going to win for the first time in 7 meetings. But alas, we couldn't hold them in the last few minutes of the game, and USC won. At least it was a good game, not like the embarrassment at the Coliseum last year!! But still, a big disappointment.
Brutus took it pretty hard.....
Luckily we had other fun things to do the rest of the weekend, in fact Brutus is still beat from all the excitement. Short post for today, but we'll catch up with everyone soon, and fill you in on the the more upbeat parts of our weekend!!

At least Brutus didn't go around setting cars on fire and flipping over trash cans like some hooligans do when their teams lose ...
I share your pain and humiliation! I've often thought if I pulled for the opposing team, maybe the score would fall our way for a change.
But a true fan holds the line. There's always next week.

Sorry to hear you team lost. We aren't sport doggies so we don't have a favorite team but we will woof for them next time they play. Go Buckeyes!

Sorry about the last minute win. Mom thought the Killer Nuts had them Trojans beat! Us Husker fans know all about old rivalries and last minute losses. They suck!

We couldn't believe the turn of events at the end of the game. We're also Notre Dame fans so it wasn't a good weekend for us :(

My concolences Brutus. I asked my mom of they won and she said NO. I felt bad then for you.

Brutus, my handsome friend, please cheer up. Mommy says to point out that non-conference games are not as important anyway. Wisconsin will have their share of loses this season. Daddy hates the coach, he calls him, well I can't repeat it but Mom calls him Coach Bulimia since what comes out of his mouth is, well never mind again. We charish each win and at Wisconsin, we have a saying"We always win the party". I am sure you will have many wins to come, but it is kind of fun to keep up the rivalry(just for fun). October 10!!! We will see who wins.

Poor Brutus!! Daddy and Uncle Jerry weren't very happy either. They had a good time at the game and on campus, but were very disappointed by the loss!! =(
