Hibernation

Not much going on around here lately. Think we got a case of the January blahs. There's just been a lot of this...

... and this...

... and this...

... and some of this...

... a little of that...

... and even some of this (no wonder I have so many typos!)...

Not to worry, we have not gone completely into a vegetative state - at least we are getting some walks in between naps!! BTW, Pawz booties have logged 7 miles so far, still on our first set!! Got other things to do (like posting some new awards, our Pup Scout stuff, and some other fun things), but are having a pretty un-motivated Monday morning. Maybe this January thaw will help get us out of hibernation mode!! Then again, maybe not....

Move over Mason, I'm coming up. And I think mom is right behind me!!

Hey Brutus! I'm just getting caught up on all my furiends' goings-on. I was BOL'ing all the way through your PAWZ video...you were too funny! I'm glad you posted about them 'cuz I might give 'em a try...I got a painful iceball trapped in between my toes on a recent walk and it was surprising how hard it was to remove. I don't know if I'll take to them as well as you did, tho...
Oh, those hooman cookies were amazing! The fox terriers were so cool. Bet they tasted great, too!
Happy hibernating with Mason!

Sedona

We've been doing lots of that, too! I think it makes Spring come faster, but I haven't done a scientific study yet.

Sleeping in is just the thing to do on a dreary cold January day! You know, I had a home visit from the NIPRA people and the girl asked if I had ever heard of Pawz, since I mentioned wanting to take my Potential Future Pug out on walks around the neighborhood. I said, yes, I had indeed heard of them -- Brutus just got some! Then I had to show her your blog post! :)

We want to see the last photo! The people/doggie pile! Alright, tell you what. I found your post inspiring, Brutus. I think I'll do just that, at least for the next 5 days. It's going to be raining non-stop here. What a better way to deal with it than hibernation.

Ha!! Mom does most of her typing with Betty curled up on her lap. I can't tell ya how many times mom grumbles and yells.. "Dangit, Betty!" cause Betty stretches and deletes half of what she's typed.. bol!

You look so cute Brutus. Why don't you saunter on over here and snuggle under Betty's ear with me for a little nap...

Love, Stella

Hi Brutus,

We have been doing the same as you. Sleeping and napping and eating. The snow and cold just won't go away!

Where did you get that staircase to the bed? I want one of those! I get so sick and tired of having to poke my head up and pawing my humans arms and feet whenever I want their attention. If I had stairs like that, I could just lick their faces!

I think we got our winter blues over with last month, but I'm sure they'll be back if we get another cold spell. We're cashing in big time on your hibernation though, as those Brutus squishy faced napping pics are just priceless :) Mason's silly belly pose is noteworthy too!

I can't believe you snuggle with a labradork. He must be less stinky than my brother.

I am hibernating too, but PeeWee still insists on going to Camp Hump A Lot regardless of the weather. Ah youth.

Looks a lot like what has been going on at our house.

That's a wonderful pair of steps you have there Brutus. And we know from your agility training that you could jump on that bed from the floor.

It's been pretty blah here too,Brutus. Tough job keeping our eyes on that snow. And we haven't had sun in days and days and days. And now the rain is here. A good snooze sounds like a great idea.

That first pic is very cozy! How were you not squished by labrabutt? I love the one with you headed up the stairs. Well, they are all cute! We have January blahs too.

Hehe.. I usually lie resting on Mom's arm just like you do, Brutus. As long as Mom's using my computer I better help.
