Woeful Wednesday; It's just not my week...

Hey pals... Brutus here.

You ever have one of those weeks? Boy, is this one mine. *sigh*

First, Mom goes to work like 3 days (almost in a row!!), so I get stuck in my crate. Mason taunts me with all kinds of stuffies, since he gets free run of the house no matter what. Then we get these blizzards... Yikes! Snow up over my back - at least Mason makes poop chutes for me... And now I get the worst news of all: a suitcase appeared!

Seems that mom "has" to go to Arizona for some kind of dental conference. Whatever. It was one of my earliest, so most of you probably don't remember the post the last time mom abandoned me for teeth. My little ploy to go along totally backfired.

OK, ears gave me away last time. Need a new plan.

I'll hide UNDER her clothes!!

Wait - you say you are flying?? No cargo hold for me!!

So I'll do the last thing I can think of, place my compact, bulky self on top of the suitcase and keep her from moving it!

Or at least look so pitiful she can't bear to....

Never fear, followers, this Frenchie is tough and will endure. Dad is home here with me, and grandpa (mom's dad) is going to pick me up during the day and take me to play with my Aunt Maggie (the greyhound). Guess I have to suck up to them and make the best of things. Mason even promised to try and keep me distracted with some good games of bitey-face.

Wish me luck. Next week has GOT to be better!!

As I told your Mom on Facebook, I think she's a coward for leaving you in the snow while she goes off to sunny, warm Arizona. (Well, maybe I didn't say that, exactly, but I meant to!)You are tough, though, and I am sure you will survive your mother's abandonment. Good luck, and I can always send AirFiona for you, if you want a break. Oh. Wait. We've got the Puppy Monster here, maybe you want AirFiona to take you someplace else...

Oh Brutus, you're makin' my little puggie heart break! I wish I could come out there to keep you company while your mom is away. We all loves our moms a little extra special. But dad loves us too. Try not to be too sad. Too bad you can't come here when your mom goes out of town.. :(

Love,
Stella

Brutus I think you should pee in the suitcase. That would keep her home for sure. BUTT if she DOES go... maybe she will bring back some Arizona Sun. That would be an improvement. Right???
Okay, so you and Mason get to go to visit Grandpa and your cousin. They will be easy targets for your charms. I'm sure you will get to do and eat lots of cool stuff. I'm just sayin'.
Hey, I just thought of something else. Take all of HER stuff out and fill it up with your stuff. She would have to come home MUCH sooner. hehehe

Aww Brutus! It really isn't your week, is it buddy?

You can come stay with me if you want!

I am sure the time will fly by and your mom will be back soon! I bet she hates leaving you just as much as you hate it!

Dude...this is NOT cool!

Be sure to take a nice steamy dump in her suitcase right before she zips it! The TSA people will think she's smuggling some kind of weapon of mass destruction and won't let her on the plane and she'll HAVE to come back to you!

It's foolproof! Try it!

Good luck man!

Ah Brutus..don't you just hate that suitcase. We have a feeling mom just wants to get out of the snow and into the sun. I wonder if she could bring some sunshine back for you? It sounds like you will have some fun play days.

Good luck, Brutus! I employ the same sleep-on-the-suitcase-so-she-doesn't-forget-me strategy. Doesn't always work, though..

So sorry for your woes, Brutus. We would love to take your snow for you but we don't know how to help you with the Mom traveling without you. But it does sound like between Dad, Grandpa and Aunt Maggie, you will do just fine. Hope the week flies by for you.

I hope my comment on FB yesterday helped a bit. Your last photo...I doubt anybody can leave you behind looking pathetic and pitiful like that, but it sounds like you have fun backup plans. Now go suck up to Mason.

Hi Brutus,

Sorry about getting left behind. It sounds like your mom will be busy with the toof conference so you'd just be bored anyway. Better to stay home and hope she brings you some treats or maybe a new toy.

Aw, sorry you can't go to Arizona with your mom but at least where she's going there is probably cold weather, maybe even snow and she's not going to the beach somewhere!

You poor boy, Brutus! Just hang in there - cratey time isn't so bad, and hopefully mom's trip with the suitcase won't be long at all. She'll be yours again before you know it!

Poor Brutus!

It's okay... crate time really isn't so bad. When I'm in the crate, me and my big plushie crab get to... well... it's private. But it's fun.

Oh Brutus, we are sorry you aren't have the best week. We don't like it when the Mommy leaves us either, although she hasn't done that in a long time (since Bentley was a puppy and before Lexus was even born). But we don't like it even while she is gone for just a few hours. But we are certain that the Daddy, the grandpa, and the aunt will take furry good care of you!

Maybe you'll get some sympathy nummies while Mom is gone? The Mr. usually orders pizza when she's out of town.
