What a small world it is!

So our Earlventure is still going strong. Despite really wet, cold, generally miserable weather, there have been MANY memorable moments so far.  We expected to see lots of cool things out west, but this perhaps is the coolest of them all!  Just look who we "ran" into at a PetSmart in Park City, UT.  Do you recognize this adorable face?

Or perhaps this one?

It's none other than Fiona & Abby from Another Tequila Sunrise!!  How awesome is that??  We actually got to meet blogger friends from across the country!

It was more than total chance that we met.  Turns out that Paul & I had some unexpected spare time to visit Park City, so I sent Liz an email, just on a whim.  Not only did she respond with a few "must-sees" in the area (like the site of the 2002 winter Olympics), but offered to bring Fi & her mutant puppy sister out to meet us.

Unfortunately Brutus & Mason weren't able to join us (we had borrowed a car for the day from Paul's cousin, who is allergic to dogs), but it was SO great to meet Liz and the girls.  To think someone who we "knew" only though blogging seemed like an old friend!  From the blog it was apparent that we had things in common (beyond dogs/blogs, Liz has her own house with wheels that they call the "Starship Enterprise", plus our blogs seem to have a similar style & sense of humor), but thanks to the blogs we felt like we already knew one another.  Talk about the world really being smaller than it seems!! I can assure you that they are as spunky and fun in person as they are on their blog, so make sure you stop by to meet them!

We talked for about an hour (despite a windstorm) -Liz and I both enjoyed meeting so much that tentative plans were discussed for us to return for a visit the next time we go out west (hopefully next summer), and then everyone can meet (dogs & husbands included).  Thanks to Liz for coming out (and not thinking I was some kind of stalker) - it sure was super-duper special to meet you and the girls!

There are a few more Earlventure posts to come, but this marks the turning point as we start to head back towards Ohio.  So tune in for more Wild West posts, plus a VERY special surprise of our own once we get home!!

That would be so much fun to meet someone else from another blog! I would just be so excited!

Is the surprise at home one of those cute Frenchie puppies from before? They sure were adorable, and one of them seemed to really like Brutus!

Flat Brutus is coming to the estate soon? I hope you give me plenty of warning so that I can prepare myself.

I might have to feed him medicine kibbles since that seems to be all we have around lately.

Yay!!! It was super exciting to meet your Mom and Dad, Brutus! If you ever want to be part of a doggie-exchange program, well.... Well, your parents probably wouldn't want us! But it was Super Cool to meet your Mom and Dad, and I know Mom really had a good time talking with your parents (although she's a little embarrassed that we spent the entire time outside of Petco!), and she has been giggling for quite awhile about House With Wheels/Big Earl Adventures and Mishaps! Next time, maybe everyone will get to meet everyone! I can just tell you, though, Mom was Super Excited to meet your Mom and Dad! (And we're waiting to see, um, hear about your own special surprise!!!!)

We don't know fion and Abby but they sure are pretty. And what is this about your own special surprise? C'mon, you are holding out on us. We think we guessed it a while ago too.

What a small world indeed - so nice to meet up with other nice bloggers.

My favorite thing to read on blogs is when bloggers get to meet in real life. That is the best :)
