What we got Mom for Christmas

Hey everybody - hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!  We had a great Christmas here, lots of wonderful pressies all around.  Mom ended up hurting herself using one of them (more about that later), and since she's kinda laid up, Carmen & I are going to do a post to show you all the cool stuff we got mom!

The tags on all of these gifts said they were from Dad, but you can imagine we helped him shop!  Without our wonderful taste, he never could have thought of such cool things!

First of all, we told dad to get this super-cool picture - it's a Frenchie blueprint!  How nifty is that?  Good thing that Carmen & I measure up to all the specifications (clikc on the image to biggify & check them ou!!

We also whispered in the ears of some of the family (like mom's step-sister Aimee, who blogs about her human pup, Mayna).  She was able to find two different Frenchie items that mom just loves!

What a great bag for toting along our toys and treats!!
Sounds like a good motto to me!
One more gift that mom got had to do with us, but it certainly wasn't our idea - a new Dyson.  Mom has to vacuum ten times more than normal because of Mason, so we're guessing he's behind this gift.  He's the one that does all the shedding around here, after all.  Just when I'd finally gotten used to the old Dyson, Mason has to go and wear it out from sucking up all his furs all over the place...

That's a Dyson canister vac.  Carmen & I (OK, especially me) were leery about this new appliance from the get-go.  Spent lots of time barking at dad while he put the monster together.

I don't know...  Got a bad feeling about this thing...
Are you sure you put it together right, Dad??
Mom was really excited about her this new torture device canister vac, and decided to put it to work on Monday.  After only a few minutes of enthusiastic vacuuming (accompanied by enthusiastic yapping from yours truly), mom had to put the Dyson away.  Somehow she tweaked her back really badly by using the stupid thing!

The bad news is that mom spent the last few days on the couch, missing out on some really fun agilities practices we had planned (you know she's feeling bad when we skip agility!).  The good news is that she is on the mend now, thanks to the great nursing care around here.

We don't have "RN" in the titles after our names for nothing, you know!
Mom's misfortune also gave us lots of extra snuggle time, which Carmen and I both took to full advantage.  Don't worry, we Frenchies got lots of cool pressies for Christmas as well!  Didn't want to share the post with Mom, so we'll be back soon to tell you about all the cool stuff we got!

Your mom got a new VACULA??? SCARY. Sorry about that.
The other stuffs look Grrrreat though.
One of my furends discovered that if you PEE on a VACULA.. they DIE.
I would do it... butt the vicious thingy runs into the closet and shuts the door. What's a Dachshund (or F.B.) to do? We can't come close to reaching the door knob thingy.

I'll bet you give care better than any nurses! I hope your mom feels better soon!

You sure got mom great gifts. What is up with these Dyson monsters lately. Who would want a monster for a gift? We sure hope mom is feeling better. We have a feeling she is in good paws.

Teehee! I bet you two are the best nurses EVER (well, after me and Abby, of course - although you certainly look more official than we do...)!!! A vacuum as a gift? Eesh. Did they consult you on this? And we're a little curious about the Frenchie blue-print - is this so that your Mom can check to make sure you are real Frenchies? Heehee! I hope your Mom heals fast so she can get back to your agilities (and torturing you with Vacula!)!

What thoughtful pups you are! Your mom is lucky to have you to steer everyone in the right direction. I'd say she got a super great haul, too. Well, except for that back injury!

Love the nurse hats - you're not the only one who thinks about nurses when they see the RN title!

Love the presents, too - the blueprint is such a cool idea! You guys have good taste.

Those are some very special pressies you got your mom. Well, except for the awful vacuum thing. And guess what? When you said at the beginning of your postie that one of the gifts hurt your mom, I guessed right away that it was a vacuum cleaner! True story! Those things are just evil. I sure hope your mom gets better real soon!

Those vac are fun to chase around and bark at....I love them! I hope your mommy is better. You DO know that I am also a Dr.! Yes, Dr. Remington and I do make house calls. So let me know if I am needed, my friends!

I don't understand why the hoomans are always using those vacuum robot monsters! I tell Momma it's evil and she tells me no - go lie -down. Hmmph. So I lay on my bed and give the monster and Momma the stinkeye till it's over.

We have two of the purple Dyson thingies here. One is for upstairs so the Momster doesn't hurt her back going up and down with it. We are sorry to hear about your Mom's back and hope she is doing much better soon. Meanwhile, those were some awesome gifts you helped Dad select for your special Mom. Great nursing care too.
