Football Friday: Week 3, Toledo

Here we go again, it's time to get out those lucky buckeyes!  Much less imposing rival this week, Toledo.  Good thing - not that it's a gimme (not taking anything for granted, don't want a Michigan/Appalachian state type debacle, and Toledo absolutely whipped Colorado last weekend), but I don't know if Brutus could take another heartbreaker like last week!

Since his chat with Coach Tressel didn't seem to get us too far, Brutus is trying a new strategy this week. Caught him giving the mascot Brutus a pretty stern talking to.  I don't know what he said - it looked like a serious conversation I didn't dare interrupt! His posture leaves little to be mistaken about the tone of the conversation.  The Brute doesn't have any fingers, but I think if he did he'd be poking the mascot in the chest with one.  If we don't get it right this week, I can't take any responsibility for what might become of this poor mascot stuffie!

Thanks to our favorite college football trash-talking furiend, Shasha (she's a Wisconsin fan...). She let us know about the Capitol One Mascot Challenge - Brutus is currently running 2nd as a write-in (but couls use more votes)!  Thanks for the tip!  BTW we are just kidding - things might sound serious when we post rivalry comments, but it's all in good fun!!

So if you've got nothing better to root for, the OSU Buckeyes could use all the cheering they can get!  Have a great weekend everyone!!

Michelle and Brutus,

Thanks so much for coming over and visiting our blog. We were sorry to ready about your loss of your JF terrier. We are sad whenever any doggie or kittie has to leave this earth. They are here such a short time.

We'd like to take credit for the love TeddyBear got the last three years of his life, after the ten years he spent in a puppymill. But it was not us. It was the Angel who runs the Midwest Fox Terrier Rescue organization. She was our rescuer, too. We were lucky ones who were able to heal enough to become part of a typical furvever family. Teddy's furever family was his loving Rescue Angel. There could not have been a better "moma". We know she misses him. They loved each other so much, and he was such a symbol to her of the precious lives that are cruelly injured by the horrors of puppymills.

Thanks, again, for stopping by.
Brutus so handsome and so very photogenic,
