Howl-O-ween Wrap-up

First I'd like to say how flattered we are by everyone's wonderful comments on Brutus' choice in costumes.  It's going to be hard to top it next year!

Since we live on a street that is not prime trick-or-treating real-estate, I took my little devil over to my dad's house for the big event.  My dad really gets into the spirit of things, so had a pretty impressive display for Brutus to pose in front of:

He also seems to have a little bit of an arachnid problem...  Someone really needs to call a good exterminator!

First Brutus inspected all the candy to make sure it was suitable for all the ghosts, princesses, ghouls, ect....

Then he found a comfy spot from which he observe the proceedings.  Talk about a scary glare!!  Move over Beelzebub - here comes Brutus!!

After a while Brutus changed into something a little more comfortable, so that he could better monitor the candy distribution:

Even Aunt Maggie (my dad's rescue greyhound) came out to join the party.  She too has a special collar for the occasion.

And Mason was MORE than happy to lend his bat antennae to help Maggie feel like part of the party.  By the look on her face, I'm thinking she appreciated the accessory just as much as Mason did (although Barb - my step-mom - seems to be getting a kick out of them)!

With that we wrap up our halloween celebration!  It was a fun weekend, but exhausting.  Now it's time to come down off our sugar high, and rest up for Thanksgiving!!

Hope everyone had as great of a weekend as we did (BTW, the Buckeyes did, they blew out New Mexico state, 45-0).  Brutus has some more very exciting news to share about his new accomplishment (part of the reason we are SOOOO far behind on our blog reading - sorry everyone!), so be sure to tune in this week to hear about our newest adventures!!

Brutus, you did a good job scaring off those trick or treaters. That pancake dog with the head gear, sigh. Some doggies just don't know when to say no.

Wow! That looks like it was tons of fun. I love that display! So very festive and impressive. I also love your Aunt Maggie's collar! They really get into Halloween. Maybe next year we'll have to try to find some adorable Trick-or-Treat Halloween collars ourselves.

P.S. The costume change was a very diva-like move, or I guess in your case divo!
