It's finally time! Big Earl came home! We've been sort of AWOL for the last week, but it's been for a good reason - getting the coach all ready for travel!
My husband Paul woke Big Earl up last week, saw to it that he had a full check-up, then guided him home. Since then the boys and I have been busy cleaning, restocking and generally readying the coach for our big Earlventure out west! As soon as Brutus had a chance, he hopped in and didn't want to get out of the coach - guess he's ready to go!
So with a little help and a lot of supervising from my Frenchie, I set to work. This is our biggest trip yet, so lots of preparations were needed. We plan to travel through no fewer than 12 states, visiting some family, as well as stopping at several National Parks. I don't know if Brutus was worried we'd leave him behind, but once he was in the coach, he didn't want to get out!!
Nothing gets in here without passing my inspection!
Here's Brutus helping out with some of the basic preparation.
Made the bed, mom!
Couch is fluffed and ready to be used for cuddling!
Bathroom cleaned - although I still don't understand this big white throne... If you guys could just go outside like me & Mason, we could use this space for better things!
Our friend Courtney even stopped by to wish us Bon Voyage! She brought pressies! Oh boy!
Can we open it, mom? Can we???
Ooohh! Dog treats, new stuffies, chew toys, even a game for mom and dad! Wow, Aunt Courntey is the bomb!!
I was too scatterbrained to take photos of all the fabulous gifts inside the package, but take my word for it, Courtney really took care of us all!!
It took a few days, but we got everything all packed up and ready to go. So here we go, out onto the open road! Piloted by Captain Paul, with the help of his #2, Mason!
I'm the chief navigator, and Brutus is chief of security. All systems go! We're outta here!!
(biggify to see a parting shot of Brutus!)
So stay tuned for many updates from the open road! Wild West Earlventure, here we come!!
