It's a blog thing, you wouldn't understand....

Who would have guessed?  When I started this blog I only expected a few random comments on my little Brute's photos.  I'm still surprised that after blogging for less than 2 months, we've made a bunch of friends & "furiends" that follow our activity daily, and whom we also check on just as often.  We've won some awards, and even a contest with a prize (Sugar, we just can't wait for the UPS truck to roll down the street with those fabulous new collars!!) - so this blogging thing has turned out to be much more rewarding than we ever could have guessed!  Thanks to all our faithful followers, we get such a kick out of reading your comments!! Keep em' coming :)

Anyone who doesn't blog would never understand all the fun little challenges that come along via our friends.  From photo contests to the pass-it-along style games, it gives Brutus and I great ideas for new posts when our material runs thin!  This week we have both Sasha & Bijou to thank for the "Kreativ Blogger" award.  Here's the rules:

Give thanks and link back to the one who sent you the award & post the logo on your blog.  List seven things about yourself that others might find interesting. Pass the award on to seven other kreativ bloggers.

So, without further ado, here are the 7 interesting things about Brutus that I came up with:
1. We picked Brutus up in Waseon, OH on the way home from
a road trip to Chicago - so his first 3-4 hours with us were
spent on the road.
2. Brutus is technically a brindle (the breed standards state
that french bulldogs cannot be solid black). Although they
don't show in our pictures, he has has little lines of fawn
hairs in several places, and dark brown "tiger stripes" show
only when he is in bright sunlight.
3. Brutus is a mulch-monger, can't keep him from picking it up
from the flower beds & chewing on it.
4. Brutus loves to ride in the golf cart.
5. One of Brutus' favorite "contraban" items is a dryer sheet.
He hides around the corner of the laundry room, scoots
in & steals any that hit the floor.
6. The white blaze on Brutus' chest is shaped like a bone.
7. Brutus has made me more poplar than I've been in my entire
life - just from being on the other end of his leash!

There you have it! Once again, I'm hard-pressed to come up with 7 friends that haven't already been
tagged Kreativ Bloggers, so if you are already
participating, just know that we only tag you 'cuz
we love you....
Banjo (not Bijou - does that count?)
Woodrow (so glad you are feeling better!)
Maggie & Mitch (Happy Birthday!)
TN Bullies
Rocky Creek Scotties
The Beasts

Have a great weekend everyone!! I'l leave you with a plain, but of course cute, parting shot of The Brute.
Tune in next week for birthday posts!!

You must be really very handsome up close, even more than you are in your photos, which is very hot.

Thank you for sharing your story.

Hi Brutus,

Banjo says thanks for tagging him. He would love to post a reply... IF I let him! BOL

Mom found a doggy Harley cap at a flea market today. She almost bought it for you but didn't cause she wasn't sure if your mom would let you wear it. I think you'd look terrific!

Anyway, thanks for sharing those interesting facts about yourself.

Our Grandpa always said, "there's nothing like a baby or a puppy that makes a pretty woman notice you". Sounds like your Mom is finding out the same thing.

Thanks for the award. We appreciate it and are glad you are one of our furiends. We feel the same as you about blogging.
