Hello again from the steamy Midwest. We had one day of slightly cooler temps, but now it's back to the tropics. It's so uncomfortable outside, sometimes the best survival tactic is to come into the A/C and nap away the heat of the day. Carmen thought that sounded like a great idea, and so curled up in her little pink nest for a snooze.
The picture of sweet serenity, right? But Carmen's nest seems to have a mind of it's own, and apparently some mobility too. Kind of like a sea urchin - you never see it move - but look at some time lapse photography, and sure enough it gets around.
It starts innocently enough, the nest just inching over a little so that Carmen's head was resting on the floor.
Carmen didn't seem to notice, so the nest just kept right on going. Next thing you know her whole torso is on the floor.
Just the her back feet to go, this is where it can get tricky. Steady now...
*Pop* The nest frees itself and stealthily crawls away!
Wonder if Carmen ever wonders how she goes to sleep in her nest, but wakes up on the floor?
We've recommended that she try the couch. It's much more dependable!

Tee hee hee! We agree, the couch is a MUCH safer bet! Look at Carmen's cute little hiney, though! Mom wants to know how you can resist not just eating her up!

I have two comments: 1) Dennis spends WAY too much time watching old Monty Python re-runs, and 2) if the couch doesn't work out, the 'big dog bed' (i.e. the one Mom and Dad sleep in) is Most Dependable. We're just saying...

That is a beautiful nest Carmen has, we can't imagine why she keeps letting it slip away. But we also agree with you, Brutus, the sofa is superb.
