Mystery Solved (It's about time...)

Brutus back here today, now that mom is done COMPLETELY embarrassing us and all...  Although I have to say, being a villain is kind of fun - might have to channel Darth Brutus more often! Now, where was I before mom barged in...

Don't want you to think we missed out on Halloween just because we were waaaay down here in wilderness of Florida.  Turns out that just because your house has wheels you don't have to skip the holiday decorating!  Just take a look at the kind of crazy displays people put out even if they were only here for a few days.  We want to know where the heck they store it all!!

Mom said something about a striking resemblance here...
We also don't want anyone to think we've not been glad to be along on this strangest Earlventure.  We've never parked on one place so long before.  Lots of nice walkies here at Fort Wilderness in the pine straw, and Carmen figured out that she can use her brindle furs for camouflage!

They can't see me, so I'm gonna chew on this big stick...
In the evenings mom & dad hang out with us in Big Earl, and there is plenty of time for some good bitey-face!

That being said,  through it all we've been on the look-out for the reason that we've stayed here so long.  Who are the brains behind this operation, and what is so great that the humans can be occupied all day away from us fabulous pups??  I'm happy to say I've finally figured it out!

Eureka!!  I've got it.
Remember how we kept seeing this shape everywhere??

Well, mom finally showed a picture of the man (or should I say MOUSE) behind all the madness!

Somehow Mr. Mouse has managed to build an entire kingdom down here, apparently it's magic too!  On our way out we saw definite evidence that it really exists.  It's so popular that humans have to PAY to visit that mouse in his house! WTH??

Hmpf - must be nice.  Wonder what we have to do to get our own magic kingdom??  Maybe it has something to do with the ears?  Would humans flock in droves to "Frenchie World" like they do to see that silly mouse??

Um, yes.  I'd like my own Magic Kingdom now.
Not sure that having my own world is enough reward for letting mom put this on my head...
Anyhoo, by the time you read this, we'll have long since packed up & turned Big Earl back towards Ohio. Why does the trip home always seem to take SO much longer??

Carmen got really bored in Georgia, apparently she thought that eating part of the state right off the map might shorten our route home.  Nope.  All it did was make mom mad (nice try though, little sis!!)...

Nice texture, but it could use a little salt.

Finally she just gave up and did what the rest of us (well, except dad) do while on the road:

So Big Earl is back home, and now needs to get ready for his winter hibernation.  Thanks for sticking with me through the entire journey (mom says I can get a little wordy...).  In case you are interested, here are our trip stats, straight from the on-board computer:

Thanks for letting me tell the story and hanging out with us.  We can't wait for our next Earlventure, but that will have to wait 'till Spring.  So, signing off from our own little Magic Kingdom back here in Ohio....

We've got plenty of mouses in our house - and we'll let you visit for free! (We won't even make you wear a silly hat...) *ahem* I think Carmen has the right idea with Georgia - maybe on our next car race trip, I could eat half of Nebraska and we'd get there faster... Hmmm... Last year we spent Christmas in southern Utah in the House With Wheels, and you Wouldn't Believe the amount of decorating that went on with some of the coaches (not ours... Dad is a bit of a Grinch..) AMAZING!!! Glad you had a great trip!!

Brutus and Carmen - if you ever open your own kingdom, be sure to let us know - that is one adventure we would not want to miss.

Glad you all had such a wonderful trip and even happier that you are all home safely.

Wow...humans are kinda weird. Paying green papers to see a MOUSE? Brudder Ranger (the RAT terrier, you know) says he would LUV to haves that mouse's head mounted on our wall. I think he's off planning a trip to Florida right now, actually.

But at least you gots some good bitey face in. And I'm most glad that Carmen figured out that brindle furs are really good for disappearing! Dad put a bell on my collar for when we walk him without his leash cuz sometimes I play hide and seek with him. He doesn't think it's as fun as I do.

Thank you so much for letting us know about the kingdom. We always wondered how that big rat mouse always attracts so much attention. Are you ready for this, he has a place like that here too. We loved going on the adventure with you. You guys are really rockin in those hats. We are jealous (not really). Without Georgia on the map, we see big earl got home a few miles sooner.

I think you should indeed have a Frenchie Magic Kingdom, Brutus! After all, you definitely have the ears! Thanks for sharing your big Florida adventure. And I'm sorta with Carmen on wanting to chuck off a piece of Georgia -- it's one long state to drive through! You guys logged almost as many miles as I did on my Florida trip (though I'm coming from a bit further west and detoured on the way back through Virginia) but I didn't have a whole house to take with me! See ya next year, Big Earl!

You and Carmen look too cute in your Mickey ears, Brutus! Our mom will be in FL next month but she'll be visiting our gram, not having fun at Disney.

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

What a great adventure. My mom person says that she is the only human she knows that has never been to that mouse place. I personally would rather go to Brutus land.

See if you can get Carmen to chew those hat's next!

Mom is all gushy over those pumpkin mouse ears of Carmen's! I am glad you had such a good time and all got home in one piece, even if the map wasn't so lucky!

BTW, I hope you guys got lots of treats for wearing those hats! ;-) (We notice the absence of any pictures of Mason in a mouse hat!)

Too bad you couldn't get into that kingdom, although I think your kingdom in Ohio is more of some place you would love!

Love the fact the campers decorate!!!

We should build a Dog world park! I could totally go on all the rides cause I'm tall enough.
